What we do

From a check-up to a full arch

Deepcar Dental Care provides three broad areas of dental care from a single practice on Manchester Road: urgent and everyday treatment, implant dentistry, and cosmetic and orthodontic work. All of it is delivered by the same clinical team, so whatever you come in for, you are seen by someone who already knows your history.

Everyday care

Check-ups and keeping teeth

Check-ups, hygiene appointments and the rebuilding work that keeps a damaged tooth in service — including care for nervous patients at their own pace.

  • General dentistry
  • Restorative dentistry
  • Dental hygiene
  • Nervous patients
  • Sedation dentistry

Cosmetic and straightening

How teeth look and line up

Changing how teeth look and how they line up, with orthodontics first where teeth have drifted out of position.

  • Cosmetic dentistry
  • Composite bonding
  • Teeth whitening
  • Orthodontics
  • Clear aligners and Invisalign

A good deal of the cosmetic work we do begins as something else. A tooth rebuilt after a fracture, or an implant crown that has to sit convincingly beside its neighbours, raises the same question about what the rest of the smile should look like — which is why composite bonding and teeth whitening are often the closing stage of restorative treatment rather than a separate decision. Where teeth have drifted or crowded, orthodontics or clear aligners come first, so that the finished work sits where it was designed to. Treatment planned in stages can be spread over time, and we set out how at the planning appointment, before any of it starts.

We are on Manchester Road in Deepcar, with free parking on site — which is the main reason patients from across the north-west of the city choose us over a city-centre practice.

We regularly see patients from Stocksbridge, Oughtibridge, Chapeltown, Grenoside, Hillsborough, Penistone and the wider Sheffield area, and from Barnsley and Rotherham for implant treatment.

Advanced treatment

Complex work, start to finish, under one roof

Dr Ijaz has placed and restored more than 200 implants since 2022. That matters less as a number than as a way of working: the assessment, the CT planning, the surgery, any bone grafting and the final crown or bridge all happen here, with one clinician accountable for the result.

Most practices refer the surgical stage elsewhere and fit the restoration afterwards. We do not. It means fewer appointments in different buildings, one person who knows your case, and a plan that does not change hands halfway through.

We work with Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Neodent, Dentium and Sweden Martina implant systems, and have maxillofacial support available for complex cases.

Treatment starts with a consultation and a written plan. You will know what is involved, how many appointments it takes and what it costs before you commit to anything.

Implant and full-arch treatment can be paid for over time rather than in one go — see finance and payment options.

Meet your dentist

Dr Ibraheem Ijaz

Principal dentist · GDC 301711

Dr Ijaz qualified with a BDS and a BSc (Hons), and has since completed an MSc at the University of Leeds (2023), a Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry (2024) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry (2024).

His clinical interest is in the work other practices refer away — implant surgery, bone grafting and rebuilding worn or broken-down teeth — alongside the everyday general dentistry the practice was built on. He is also the person who answers the emergency line out of hours.

He is supported by two associate dentists, including a colleague with postgraduate training in root canal treatment who works with an operating microscope, and by the practice's nursing team.

How we work

One dentist. One plan. No handovers.

Plenty of practices can do the treatment. Fewer can tell you, at the first appointment, exactly who will be holding your case in six months' time.

Continuity as standard

The clinician who assesses you plans your treatment and carries it out. Complex cases are not parcelled out to a rota.

Open when people are actually free

Seven days a week, 8am to 8pm, with no waiting list to join. Evenings and weekends are ordinary appointment times here, not exceptions.

Difficult cases stay here

Bone grafting, sedation for anxious patients and full-arch rehabilitation are handled in-house, with maxillofacial support available when a case calls for it.

What to expect

What happens when you come in

01

We look properly

A full examination, including X-rays where they are needed, and time to hear what has actually been bothering you.

02

You get it in writing

A written plan setting out the options, what each involves and what each costs. Payment options are explained at this point, not sprung on you later.

03

You decide the pace

Nothing is booked until you have had time to think. Treatment can be staged where that suits you better.

Paying for treatment over time

Most treatment can be paid for in fixed monthly instalments rather than all at once — implants and full-arch work, orthodontics and clear aligners, crowns and bridges, cosmetic treatment, and everyday restorative care. Terms run from six to sixty months, and the monthly figure is agreed at the planning appointment, before treatment starts.

Checking whether you are eligible uses a soft search, which does not affect your credit score, and decisions are usually made the same day.

Finance is subject to status. Full terms, rates and the representative example are set out on our finance page.

Before you book

Questions we are asked most

Are you taking on new patients?

Yes. We are accepting new patients and there is no waiting list to join. You do not need to have been registered with us before, and you do not need a referral from another dentist.

Do I have to be a registered patient to be seen in an emergency?

No. We see people who have never been to the practice before, and most emergency appointments are booked by people who are registered somewhere else or nowhere at all. Call 0114 288 2121 and describe the problem, or read what counts as a dental emergency if you are not sure whether yours qualifies.

What do I do if I have a dental emergency out of hours?

The practice is open from 8am to 8pm every day, including weekends, so most urgent problems can be seen the same day. Outside those hours the emergency line is answered by our principal dentist, Dr Ibraheem Ijaz, rather than a call centre.

More detail on how urgent care works is on the emergency dentist page, including weekend and out-of-hours care.

Where do I park at the practice?

There is free parking on site at 334 Manchester Road, so you do not need to find a space on the road or pay for city-centre parking. This is the main reason patients travel to us from across the north-west of Sheffield rather than going into town.

Can I spread the cost of treatment?

Treatment planned in stages can often be paid for over time, and we explain the options at the planning appointment before anything is booked — never afterwards. Current fees are listed on the fees page, and the ways treatment can be funded are set out under finance and payment options.
